大學教職員代表反對在2005-08年的財政年度進行任何削資，他們表示經濟正在復蘇。
Representatives of university staff opposed any cuts in the 2005-08 budget, saying the economy was already picking up.


大學資助會在下個財政年度削減百分之十，政府亦計劃在二零零五至零八年間再度削資。
University funding will be cut by 10 per cent in the next financial year, and the government is also planning to make further cuts from 2005 to 2008.
